QuickBooks Support provides multiple solutions to resolve QuickBooks error -6000, -77. Follow the instructions to fix the QuickBooks issue.

Solution 1 – The company file is placed on outer media:

  • Copy the company file to a local disk drive or the QuickBooks file web on a network.
  • Open QuickBooks and then the company file.

Solution 2 – Download QuickBooks File Doctor and run it.

 Solution 3 – Rename the .TLG and .ND files.

.TLG or .ND has formed files that support QuickBooks Desktop to locate the company file in a system or multi-user method. Corrupted or broken .TLG or .ND files can generate faults when starting QuickBooks Desktop. Renaming these files doesn’t create data loss since these files have automatically recreated when you launch or scan the company files while using the Server Manager of QuickBooks Database.

  • Start the folder that holds your company file.
  • Find the data with the same filename as your company file but with the different extensions of .ND and .TLG.
    • For Instance:
      • qbw.nd
      • qbw.tlg
    • Rename the .nd and .tlg file by just right clicking on it and add the word old in the end of each file.
      • For Instance
        • qbw.nd
        • qbw.tlg

Solution 3 – Use Universal Naming Convention path rather of the mapped drive

  • Right-click the QuickBooks symbol on your desktop, click and hold the Ctrl key and select Administrator for a Run. Hold the Ctrl Key until the No Company Open Window file start.
  • Open File Menu Folder, Select Company files and restores it.
  • Choose to Open a company file, Press on Next.
  • In the left-hand Panel, select Network and navigate to the place of your company file.
  • Final Step is Open the Company file.

Solution 4 – Recreate the corrupted folder.

  • Open a C:\ drive and create a new folder.
  • Open the folder that contains company file.
  • Find the file with .qbw extension.
    • For Instance
      • qbw
    • Copy the file by right clicking on it.
    • Paste that file in the new folder.
    • Set the permissions of folder.
    • Final step, start QuickBooks from the new location.
